Welcome to 2ned Magazine's third episode of the Tour de France program "The Amateur and the Danish Tour Legends", which is dedicated to the Danish riders who have raced and completed at least one Tour de France throughout their careers.
Today's guest is the amazing Brian Vandborg. In his ten seasons as a professional, he rode seven Grand Tours, including four Tour de France. He rode for several of the biggest cycling teams of the time such as CSC, Discovery Channel and Liquigas. Later he rode for Saxo Bank and Cannondale and has been riding as a support rider for world-class riders such as the Schleck brothers, Alberto Contador, Nibali, Basso and Peter Sagan, among others, throughout most of his career.

When he himself got the chance, he could also easily perform at a really high level, like when he came fourth in the time trial at the World Championships, when he won his two Danish championship titles in the time trial, or when he took stage victories in the Tour of Georgia and the Tour de l'Ain.
Listen to Brian Vandborg enlighten you about a cycling world where, in a very short time, you can go from riding on two of the world's best cycling teams to suddenly being demoted to a Danish Continental team, hear him tell how, not least, human qualities got him back on the World Tour, and hear about the four Tour de France he rode and completed. Hear about all of this and more.
